Cadence
About· The practice

A consulting practicebuilt around doing the work well.

The practice

An independent practice.

Cadence is an independent proposal consulting practice. The focus is narrow on purpose: helping organizations write, run, and win the proposals that matter.

Most of the work is hands-on inside a single proposal: shaping the response, drafting the sections evaluators score, keeping the effort on a tight cadence. Some engagements are larger, building the process and templates a team will run on for years.

Engagements start with a thirty-minute call about the proposal on your desk: what you're trying to win, what help would move the score, whether working together makes sense. From there, everything is scoped to that specific proposal.

What we believe

Five thingswe hold true.

They shape the way every engagement gets run.

  1. 01

A proposal is a sales document with a deadline.

The job is to make choosing you feel like the safe, obvious decision.

  2. 02

Most proposals lose in the structure, not the prose.

The outline and the compliance matrix get more of our time than the writing.

  3. 03

Senior people should be interviewed, not assigned.

Thirty sharp minutes from an expert beats a midnight draft.

  4. 04

Reviews need someone outside the deal.

The team that wrote a proposal cannot also red-team it.

  5. 05

The submitted document is the deliverable.

Every meeting and decision serves the file that goes out.

Sector experience

Where wework.

Technology is where most of the work lands. The process carries anywhere: read the criteria, structure the response, hold the cadence.

01Proposal leadership

Software & technology

Renewals and net-new responses for software and technology vendors, often against incumbents, where the evaluation is as much about risk as features.

02Capture & response strategy

Federal IT

Response strategy and section drafting for agency IT modernization solicitations, built around the stated evaluation criteria.

03Response architecture

Healthcare technology

Structuring complex multi-vendor proposals into a single scored narrative a clinical and technical panel can follow.

04Red-team review

Public sector primes

Independent pre-submission reviews scored against the RFP's evaluation criteria, returned as a prioritized punch list.
